Evaluation
Overall I am very happy with how our short film turned out,
we were told that it had to be about a package and I felt that my team and I
were all on the same wave length and because of this we were we able to create
a very believable and tense film whilst having a good laugh. Some of the other
teams took a more metaphorical approach on ‘The Package’ but we decided to take
a more serious approach that had a comical finish. We achieved this through
leading the audience to believe that a gun or drug was being sold and moved
around although towards the end they learn that it is In fact a bar of Galaxy chocolate.
Continuity:
we made a few mistakes with continuity that could be simply fixed if we
had a better idea of the resources that were going to be available to us during
the film process, we went in to the activity blind with very little idea of how to us the camera
equipment and editing software. One of the main things I would have changed is I
would have kept the camera stationery in the first shot as the title appears
behind me as it would have made it easier to create the affect and it would
have come out better in my opinion the continuity error came in when I walk
away from the bike and you catch a glimpse of the wall and see that the title
is in fact gone; although this is not a major error it isn’t perfect and that’s
how I would have liked it to be.
Moving on from this task I am much happier and more confident
as I know I have a good understanding of equipment and editing resources and therefore
can create a detailed plan that is easy to follow, In this next task I will
take more time planning and deciding with my group what shots to do.
